Child Seat Anchor in 97 or 99 F-250?!?

Alrighty guys, we are looking at getting a 97 or 99 F-250 Supercab. My wife's question is "Are there child seat anchors in the rear seat?"

none in my 97... I doubt in any that old. Tell her that means you need the new '08 6.4L!

Well, that would be a good idea, but my wife has a 2005 PSD 4x4 Excursion! So, another new truck is a no no! I love the 97 body style, so I am going for one of those.

The 99 and up have a kit that you can get from Ford to install the tether anchors in the rear seats. I did all three for my CC, but the kit is also for the SC. The owners manual should have the info in it. And the kits were free, when my truck was not under any warranty.

There is no provisions for the latch system though. And I don't think Ford ever plans on them in the trucks. That's what cars and SUVs are for.....
