About 3:00 this afternoon I started installing my Adrenaline HPOP from Dieselsite. I've got the new Adrenaline pump in and made it as far as putting the fuel filter housing back in. I called it quits because it was getting kinda dark.

So far it has been rather straight forward except for one thing that tripped me up for a little bit. I went to take the bolt out for the HPOP drive gear but I couldn't break it loose without my wrench torque rotating the crankshaft and everything else too of course. I tried smacking the breaker bar with my palm, but that didn't work either. What I ended up doing was to haul out the 3/4" monster socket set. I put that monster ratchet and socket on the crank bolt, jammed the other end up against the steering box and went back up topside. I tried the breaker bar again and success!!!!

Other than that, I've just been trying to keep everything clean and keep crud from dropping into the HPOP reservoir.

I figure I've got an hour or two tops left to finish it. I can't wait to hit the highway tomorrow.

Yes

Stage 1 single shots are basically AC injectors for a T466E engine from what I understand. But if you put them in a 7.3 you get all this excessive power.

Bean's gets his new injectors from Dynamite Diesel (At least that what the return address label on the box said). They say they hone the nozzles for a better spray pattern.

I removed the rag for the pics so you could see the pretty pump. I don't like saran wrap, I almost had a bad experience in a bathroom once involving saran wrap.:eek:

Good News & Bad News

Good news: I got it in. First driving impression, my econo program is feeling more like the performance tune did. When I floor it with it on the OMG setting, once it gets into 4th gear, the EGT no longer rises to where I have to back off of it. So it appears EGT's are lower, but I'll get a better indication when we next go camping. Going west form Marquette, for about 5 miles the highway grade is fairly steep in places, rivaling that of some highways in the mountains out west I've seen. Towing the camper up that hill will give me a good idea of how much difference there is.

on edit: I didn't realize it until just now, for the first time that I can recall, I didn't get a CES light with it floored in the OMG mode. I used to get one about every time with a HPOP pressure high/low code.

Bad news: I have a nasty oil leak some where. :rant:rant
Initially it looks like the o-ring between the upper HPOP reservoir and the lower portion didn't stay put when I put it back together. I think I can get it off without having to pull the fuel filter housing.

DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oil, oil everywhere.
20lb bag of oil absorb is less than $4 at Menards. :(
