Holy smokes guys this is sure one big series of wicked storms. So far since yesterday 3.5" of rain and a whopper of a doozy due today. Big wind. Torrential downpours. Horizontal rain. Sporadic power outages across the region. Small stream flooding and mudslides. My power went out earlier but thanks to my generator I'm online. :sweet So today I'm hunkered in and will light a big fire in my fireplace. Heck, even my dog didn't want to go outside to pee.

I hope it clears the Sierras and rolls out across the high desert plains, we could use some snow.

Uh its raining? Yeah the roads were a bit wet but the way the radio spoke about the weather it was going to be hell getting to work today. I guess the windshield wipers were on notch 2 so... Yeah wet for California.

Wow... did we get it last night. Winds from 60-65 mph. Our back yard looks like a war zone. Broken branches everywhere. With the heavy rain, our dog would not go out either. Our power went off at 1:30 a.m. this morning and came back on at 12:15 p.m. A wicked storm for us, but probably a average storm for Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas area. I can see broken branches out in the back acre, but I am not going out until after the next storm leaves.
It is nice to be retired, and not need to leave the warm house. :D
There is a nice fire in the fireplace, and the wife is making lunch.
Life is good. :D

We just watched the news, and they said that Glenn County got it the worst. 13,000 houses are without power tonight. 6,000 in Shasta County (Redding area), and that the winds last night had gusts up to 82 mph. No wonder our Oak tree lost some good sized limbs. Our other trees lost limbs and branches also. We have central air and heat, but tonight the fireplace feels good.
I hope all you other Ca. people are warm and dry.

Things have quieted down considerably. I think it's heading south. Rain total for the past 24 hours is 4.56"
