Well, I have learned that a bypass filter is a good thing for a diesel. Talked to a guy this last week that claims it's been 80K since his last one. Said the oil still tests good, but that he thinks he might do a change anyway. ANYHOW, I was wondering if a gas engine would get the same benefits, or if there is something different that would prevent it. I thought that maybe the extra filtering and the extra clean oil might help my gasser to make it to 300k! :drive

Just a SWAG here, but I'd think cleaner oil would be better for any engine.
