BUMMER: 300/4 Lost channel

Crud...Lost the right rear (door) channel on my JL 300/4....im bummed
that im gonna have to pull the amp for repair :(

What happened? That does suck, now you will see how good your stereo sounded and can't wait to get the amp back in. Hope it won't be to long.

dont know...only lost the rear pass door channel.

ive got a 4300 that has two un-used channels so ill at least
be able to run 4 pairs...but that 300/4 is so much more powerful...
so clean im sure ill miss it.

It could be a heat issue...ive been meaning to install some fans
under the seat...guess ill do it now...

No better time. Since you have to pull it. That is good that you can still hook into another so that you won't lose the rear speakers.

I was having thermal shut downs <when pushing the limit> on the old
400w fosgate (used for my sub)...i took some temp readings a couple
of times (when i used to run back and forth to austin for meetings)...

the temps from my fluke laser thermometer indicated 145* in more than
one area of the amp...i began to have concerns of a FIRE :oops:

FIRE=NOT GOOD....Install the fans when you're doing the repairs and make an afternoon out of it;thumbs....get er' nice a clean sounding...I wish I had your know how so I could get some better sound out of mine:dunno
