truck is a 2004 SUPERDUTY F250. installed new rotors and pads on front. noticed both bottom caliper pins had rubber bushings on the end, so installed a new one on left side and put old one in right side. to me it seems these pins should slide a little easier then what they do. still get a thud or thump from brakes, like the caliper is hanging up, then suddenly releasing

I used silicone brake grease on the shims and caliper pins if they were dry, haven't had any issues with my brakes since. You think that might be the problem? Something dry is binding up?

Inspect the calipers in the front? I wouldn't think they would be causing a problem at only 3 years old. Checked the rear brakes? Maybe the issues on the rear? Just some suggestions.

Any other sounds you are hearing that you think could be brake related?

haven`t done the back yet, but i hear the noise in the front too. i did have other brake noise, but is gone now since i installed new pads and rotors. calipers were fine. too me seems something is binding and releasing.i did grease the shims and pins with proper grease.

how freely should bottom pins slide with the rubber bushings. i know the pins will slide easier, they do not have the rubber bushing on the end.
