I hooked to my trailer for the first time the other day and every time I step on the brake I get a beep or what ever noise a module makes. Everything works on the trailer and I didn't get a warning message on the dash. I did get a trailer fault warning when I hooked up to a old trailer that does have wiring issues. I really liked the way the built in controller worked.

everything workin on the OLD trailer ? lights ? can you hear the brake
magnets buzz ? (9 times outta 10 trailer faults or trailer lighting circuit
issues are because of faulty grounds, on the trailer)

yep, i had a 3way connecter come loss at the backside of the hub assembly, just about drove me crazy for weeks, cause i had no brakes, a mechanic friend of mine found the problem.

i felt so stupid, it never even crossed my mind to check there.

I know that the brake wiring on the older trailer is hooked up wrong (it works on the old truck we pull it with), but what I want to know does everyones truck that has the factory brake controler make a beep noise when you first touch the brake pedal with the trailer hooked up?

Mine does not make a beep noise when I hook up. Love the way it works with my Hydraulic Disk Brakes on the Hitch Hiker.

I have an '06 350 tow boss and I do not get any audible indications when touching the brakes. On one trailer I tow there is a bad ground so if I'm on a rough patch of road I will get the "trailer disconnected" message and an audible tone occasionally, but thats the only tone I get regarding trailers....
