Bought Diesel for $2.41 today In Plano, TX!

To those in the Plano/Wylie/Richardson area, the Shell station at Dublin and FM 544 had diesel for $2.419 today. I had a little less than a half tank and planned to wait until I could get up to Love's at Anna to refill with "BioWillie" (which is now $2.649), but this price was too good to resist. I filled up early last week at Loves for $2.899/gallon. Based on some of the recent prices, the $2.41 could save some of you as much as $10.00 per tank (with standard size tanks). They'll probably raise it back up to the $2.60's or $2.70's in a few days. The regular was $2.279, about as much as Murphy Oil and others.

cheapest is 2.79 in boaz, al, while 87 octane is 2.43

Bill, I don't know if you remember, but that station has done this before. One day they dropped diesel prices around 25-30 cents, but a few days later, it was right back up with the others. Yesterday their regular was $2.499 and the diesel was around $2.859. I commented to the cashier that they had a good price on diesel by dropping it to that price, she looked confused and said "Oh Really?".

She wasn't blonde either.

I suppose I should be happy with the $2.81 a gallon I paid today. That over three dollar stuff is a bit much!
