Ok finally installed gauges and everthing is working great. Have 2 questions for ya'll. I am running 16 PSI on my stock turbo. How much PSI can I run and not hurt the Turbo? What are some easy things that I can do to make more boost? Thanks. Happy New Year hope everybodies was good.

You should be able to pull more than 16psi bone stock. According to my autometers I can pull in the low 20's with my stock turbo. A different waste gate accuator, compressor wheel, and housing will really help a stock turbo make good boost #'s.

I think 25 is the max boost a stock turbo can do without self destructing.

I've been running a DP-Tuner 80hp Econo tune and have been getting about 28 - 30 psi on an early 99 turbo. That added to the single shot fuel injectors I recently installed and I sometimes see 33 - 35 psi.

I think a turbo upgrade is in the works for this spring/summer. Possibly a HTPS/ Ball Buster etc. Being as how I have an early 99, I'll also have to changeout the uppipes, turbo pedestal, intake plenum, intakes covers etc.

I'm in the same boat as you are with the early 99 mess...pretty discouraging, the swap kit is about 800ish bucks....How do you like the single-shots? How much/worth was that dyna-trac hub swap?

Thanks, sorry for the 'jack,

With out a programer/chip you will see around 15-17, with a programmer you will see up to about 22.... Chips will push it higher, at the 27 mark you willset the SES light.

Tail-gunner....How do you like the single-shots?
My first response with my Stage 1 Single Shots was something like OMG!!!
I have been having somewhat of a rough idle issue, but hope to have it resolved soon with DP-Tuner. Jody says he has done gobs of Stage 2's & stage 3's, but I was the first Stage 1 single shot. So my program has to be tweaked for a better idle. BTW: If you haven't done so yet, you'd better plan on getting a 99.5 PCM. A new 99.5 PCM with the Split shot DP-Tuner 80hp Econo Tune was hands down the best performance gaining mod I've ever done. I got a Econo 80hp program for single-shots flashed onto the PCM when I did the Stage 1 injectors.

How much/worth was that dyna-trac hub swap?

If memory serves, around $1600. It's been about 1 1/2 years since, 0 bearing failures, 0 problems, 0 Lockout hub problems. Likelihood of future failure of factory bearing hubs= ZERO. Yea, I'd say it was worth it.:D

HI JACK ON
Mike,

Thanks for the recent e-mail. Our Ford Hub Conversion kit, #FO60-2X1104-B, is $1695.00. This will fit the '99-'04 Super Duties and Excursions. I have attached a copy of the Installation Instructions, as this may give you better insight into the procedures. We are working hard to keep up with demand for these kits, all new incoming orders should be filled by the end of the month. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any questions or need to get on the back-order list. Thanks again!!

I have no trouble pulling 24 psi (according to my guage) if I am really on it. Normal driving is usally under 20 psi on mine.
