Dunno if anybody else noticed this or realized that if we are going to war anytime in the near future, it is probably going to be against a major, oil-producing OPEC nation.

Seems to me that having an alternative plan to fuel our war machine that does not involve the nations we are most likely going to be fighting is a pretty good idea.

I cannot imagine the most powerful, precise, and well-trained military the world has ever seen being defeated, strung out across the desert, simply because they ran out of fuel.

Frankly, I'm very suprised that it took them this long to do something about that.

I've seen B-52's flying out of Barksdale, and it's quite a site. In '91, we were on the way to see my dad in the hospital in Monroe(a few months before he passed away with cancer) and stopped to eat in Bossier City. We watched at least 10 B-52's leaving, one behind the other on their way to Iraq. I felt a wonderful sense of pride in watching these giant aircraft beginning their journey. They have such a slow takeoff that you're always afraid they're gonna crash.

oh your bringing back found childhood summer time memories
we had a lake place on lake bistenau (spelling) west of shreveport
anyway we would be swimming and floating in teh lake, you could hear the thunder of the jets and then all of the sudden huge smoking trails and a HUGE plane just over the trees would fly by,it was an awe inspiring event.
i think the word now would be it gave you Wood :D
