Heys guys,

new to the site and fixin to purchase a 02' f350 4x4 lariat crewcab long bed w/ a leveling kit. it has 285/70 r16's on it now and i want to put some more aggressive tires on it and fill out the wheel well nicely but not have any rubbing issues. what would be the biggest i can go, and do ya'll have any suggestions of what brand to put on it?

I think that 31's will fill up that wheel well nicely, as far as the tires Toyo or super swampers. It depends on your tire needs and your personal opinion.

i looked at a tire calculator and 285/70r16 is actually a 32" tall tire. the truck with the leveling kit has a lot of room to fill in the wheel wells. i was thinking 315/75 r16's (35's) would be nice, but they might have rubbing issues. does any one on here run this size tire with the same setup? maybe the 305/70s(33's) maybe a better chioce.

285/75R16's or 305/70R16's are usually the biggest you can cram in there without trimming, lifting, etc.

the 305's are as wide as the stock wheel is rated to handle

I run 315 75 16 on stock wheels without any major problems. My biggest complaint is the tires rubbing the front leaf spring at full turn. This isnt a major problem you just lose a small amount of turning. I have a 2.5" front leveling kit from Summit Racing and a rear add a leaf. My truck is a 2000 F-250 Ext cab 4x4

Cool. That's what I was wanting to know. Are there any major problems that would cause longterm effects? Frontend wearing out? Did you change the gearing for your tranny?
