I have questions...
150 kilowatts for the whole 9 acre array? Or 150 kilowatts for EACH of the engine/mirror units?
If it is for the entire 9 acre array, then I am monumentally unimpressed! 150 kilowatts of energy translates to about 200 horsepower. Figuring loss, etc, in an mechanical -type generator, you are looking at at 275 to 300 horsepower genset as a comparison. That's a Cummins 6Bt or a caterpillar type genset. And it takes 9 acres to get to that point.
If it is PER UNIT, then quite the contrary. I am IMPRESSED to a point that I am excited as hell. Those would be the most powerful Stirlings I've ever heard of (250 horsepower at least!).
Does anyone know?
