I need help! I jusrt spent several hours changing glow plugs and the glow plug relay on a 2000 F350.
After I put everything back together, it ran really rough, just coughed a few times the first few times I tried to start it, after about three starts it finally stayed running, but very rough... The emissions light came on, and stayed on, I don't have a code reader... It's running like its in limp home mode right now.

All I can think of is that since a little bit of oil drains down into each cylinder when you take out each glow plug, the oil that had to blow through once it started maybe buggered up one of the sensors? Is there anyway to clear the code without a code reader? I disconnected the batteries for a few minutes, no luck...

Is it possible that 1 of the uvc harnesses came undone and you didn't see it?
Sounds similar to what happened to me. Changed the harness and apparently hit the connector on an injector knocking it off. I'd pull the valve covers again and check it out.

It is likely that one of your injector wires or valve cover gasket harness came loose.
