Welcome to SDD Shawn!

That's really up to you. It would help us to know what kind of truck you have so filling out your sig would be helpful:sweet. People in cold climates have reported no problems with warm up time. I don't let my truck idle that much to really get it to come on, it does come on when it's cold enough and I'm at very light throttle at say 1700 rpms on the highway before oil temp is 150 degrees. I wouldn't miss it, reported to get rid of alot of the flutter, more whistle.:thumbs

But if you have a manual you may want to wire it as an exhaust brake. I've thought about this. But if my turbo comes off it's gonna get gutted.

How do you plan on elimnating the EPV? Gutting, non EBPV housing, Power Elbow?

I use mine as an exhaust brake, works great and I have control over it. It's a VERY small restriction that I am not worried about. When I get the GTP-38r its goin gon that on too. IMO just leave it unless your building a pulling or drag truck.

I took gutted mine because of an oil leak. I don't see any difference in warm up time, and have noticed a slight change in exhaust sound as Antonio reported.

I wrote a WIKI article on the steps involved: Click Here
