just wondering who has done an auto to a 5 speed swap? when my e4 bites the dust i really dont wanna have to sink the kinda money i know its gonna take to rebuild it tough. i prefer a 5 speed my self anyways.

i know i need the manual comp, from what i gather the pedal assy should bolt in, also the auto tcase should bolt right to the zf, and isnt the hole for the shift already in the floor but its just covered by a plate since i have an auto truck?(ive never really looked)

also what kinda of money have any of yall that have done the swap spent?

I personally have not done the swap, but over at oilburners there is a plethora of IDI drivers that have done the auto to ZF swap who I could ask what the monetary input averages.

But basically, youre going to need the PCM tuning for a manual, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, ZF and the pedal assy. A quick call to your local auto recycler should be able to give you solid figures on those pieces.
