Ever since I bought this truck 3 years ago, I have wondered  the meaning of this tag(sticker) on the front of the rad mount:
Reprogramed P C M
per TSB 96-3-18
P/N F6TZ-12A650-AVE
Dealer # 03290 Date 2-9-98
What is the TSB? Where is dealer? Part #?
I was wondering if there is a diff code in PCM instead of S0D4? Other question is if it will work with a scanner/now (reflashed)OBD compliant?? Runs great/just wondering. :thanks
How bout some input-would be appreciated. Besides we need more chatter on this forum. :thumbs

Joe,

Here is the TSB, it looks like it had to do with a hard start condition. I'm not sure about the dealer #, my guess that would be where the reflash was done and the Part # looks like it may be incorrect, since you have a manulal transmission it should end in AUE, not AVE.

OK just to keep the chatter going ... You didn't happen to get the truck in Kansas did you? Just messing around with the dealer number turned up Lanterman Motors in Pratt, Kansas (although it could also be way out to lunch too!). It should also work with scanners and such since it was reprogrammed for 1996 and above. Mine was reflashed to ALF4 and works with the EASE software. Cheers!

Mike-thanks :thanks for the TSB
Patrick-As usual, you are a wealth of knowledge. the $12 AIC is still workin great.
BTW-Truck was orig. from Colo., that would explain the dealer #.
Thanks again :thumbs to you both--Joe
