97 single cab with manual windows ands locks. It would be nice to be able to remotely lock/unlock both doors. No one remembers to lock the passenger side of anything anymore. -mad

Can it be done?

I had an old ranger that didnt have power windows or locks...

I installed a cheapie alarm & added the lock solenoids so i could
lock/unlock the truck remotely...lock solenoids are about 50 bucks
each these days...any alarm shop should be able to get you there

I have two power lock actuators that I would part with if you are interested in them. These would be perfect for what you're since they came from an alarm kit that went on a vehicle with PDL's already.

Hmm, I probably will do a whole alarm kit, but thanks for mentioning it. :)

ditto...i paid about 100 bucks per door for mine (including install)...
so when my truck got hit/totaled i grabbed those outta the door
(along w/ other things).

mine are free for the cost of shipping...but i DOUBT most alarm shops
would want to touch the "deal" if they werent selling the lockers TOO.
