Look in your phone book under "Heavy Truck dealers" or just "Truck Dealers/Parts" and find the listing for an International Harvester (IH) dealer--they'd be the ones with blue CPS's. Honestly though, if I bought one, I wouldn't pre-emptively change the CPS but I'd keep the blue one in the glove box and when the stock CPS goes, then I'd swap it in.

After removing a perfectly good low mileage CPS sensor that Ford was so kind to buy me under warranty and replacing it with a DT466 sensor I would recommend to change your mind. The DT466 sensor has made my X have less engine noise, better driveability, too soon to tell about the fuel mileage thing yet. I am very tuned in to how diesels run and this sensor swap made a definite change. The only issue I possibly see is the pins on the DT466 don't look like there gold plated. Whats this mean, who knows. I do know dissimilar types of metals in contact with each other can cause corrosion. I put a small dab of dielectric grease on the connector. We will see what happens down the road.
I have spent more money on stupider things.:cussing:

I see alot of people talking about a Blue CPS and a DT466, are you all talking about a Cam positioning Sensor, if so I think mine is out of my 2001 7.3, are there any really good ones to get, instead of the factory replacement??
