In a van down by the river...
If so, can you recommend a good source for HO locomotive detail parts? When the in-laws were here visiting, Maggie's dad was REALLY impressed with the UP Big Boy #4004 that's in the park so I want to build him a static model of one for Christmas. I picked up one of the Revell plastic kits of that loco and now I'm in the market for some detail parts since the plastic kit is OK, but you can tell it only cost 20 bucks. I've already seen a few places where I can improve it (decals to model #4004, replacing the molded on grab rails along the boiler with wire and stanchions, etc...) but if there was a source out there for nicer wheels and other add-ons, I'd be interested.

Funny you should mention model Rail Road'n... It's been a Hobby of mine fer years. One of the things I'm guna devote more time to in Retirement.

Get yerself a copy of the WALTHERS, HO catalog. Everything known to man about HO gauge, is in that catalog.

Or go to www.walthers.com

Enjoy

Joe

My FIL just retired from being a RR engineer for the past 25 years, his hobby not too surprisingly is model trains. He has a very elaborate set-up taking up better than half his basement. He used to go to either Ft Colins or Denver to get supplies John.

He's also been selling off some of his collection on e-bay to thin the herd down a little. The amount of trains and cars this guy has is impressive.

it maybe in CA, but somewhere, this multi million'r has a huge model railroad setup. its like a 4 story building and all kinds of stuff. he has built every bit by hand. he was on the travel channel or the learning channel about his collection.
