I was reading that she had collapsed last night in the hotel. Strange.

Reality star Anna Nicole Smith is dead, her lawyer told FOX News Thursday. Smith was found unresponsive Thursday in her Hard Rock Hotel room in Hollywood, Fla., FOX affiliate WSVN is reporting. Emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat, hotel officials told TMZ.com. Smith was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2 p.m. EST. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel. Smith, 39, was hospitalized for a week last November with pneumonia."
The story continues here and is still developing. She was 39 years old and leaves behind a 5 month old baby girl, Dannielynn. A news conference is expected shortly on various television news programs.
Update: TMZ is following the story closely and updating frequently. Their latest report is "the Broward County Medical Examiner has been dispatched to the hospital to retrieve the body of Anna Nicole Smith."
Update II: "Her 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope, was not with them, sources say, but is being cared for in the Bahamas by the mother of Shane Gibson, a high-ranking Bahamian official who is a close friend of Smith's." - Via People.com
Update III: The Seminole County Police Chief, Charlie Tiger, just gave a press conference and said Anna's bodyguard performed CPR around 1:45 p.m. on Anna in her hotel room. Anna also had a private female nurse with her at the time and Anna's private nurse is the person who called 911. Anna was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m.
Update IV: Anna's body has been transported to the Ft. Lauderdale Medical Examiner's office and an autopsy will be performed tomorrow.
Update V: Various bits of news for you: It's being reported that Anna was alone and unconscious in her room when her bodyguard found her and the bodyguard immediately called for Anna's nurse. Anna is also rumored to have been detoxing at the time and possiby taking Methadone, and this might be why she had a private nurse. Various medical experts are speculating the Methadone may have aggravated an undiagnosed heart problem - the same heart defect which led to her son's death.

That's really a shame. She's been through a lot in the last few years. Of course, if she'd never married a 90 year old, she'd never been "famous". I saw one headline today stating that this was like Marilyn Monroe. I think that was mentioned because a possible overdose in the Smith case.

Bombshell? ... Perhaps in the eyes of some.
Personally, I was repulsed by her and her public persona.
She was a fat drugged out slob in her reality show a few years back.
Vacant between the ears? ... No doubt in my mind.
Troubled, weak, overwhelmed and insecure? ... Obvious
Well at least she's finally at peace...
But what a mess she left behind.

All that I am worried about is the 5 month old she left behind, and can't help thinking, What a lucky baby. I hope that someone adopts her that will give her a normal life. Well, as normal a life as any 5 month old with 500 million dollars can lead.
