While at the dealer today getting my CPS under the recall, I saw a special on the AIS which I think was a decent price. AIS Kit/Installation $231.00

Now that has me thinking should I go for it?:sly

Anybody here have the AIS kit and your thoughts on the kit?

Thanks

Git R Done. I got it and am pretty happy with mine. Filter is expensive but lasts for a long time unless you are doing something ridiculous.

Thanks Guys, I know your right. The complete kit/ price including the install $231.00 at the dealer is pretty decent.

I like mine.

I was sucking the filter indicator down pretty easy until I put in the foam fender sleeve. With the foam fender sleeve on, the indicator quit showing an obstruction so often. That indicated to me that the intake snout from the grille to the filter was a bit of an obstruction by not flowing enough air. With the foam fender sleeve installed, it supplemented airflow to the air filter.

:dunno I went from an open air ( K&N FIPK) set up to the AIS w/fender sleeve for the Quiet factor. I like it. Been on for 60K, still on the original filter. I tap it on the garage floor a couple times at each oil change.. it has never moved the flow restriction thingy.

I like the Turbo Whine much better than the Sucking sounds.

To each his own though :dunno

With the bigger dia. inlet tube and the foam fender sleeve, I've havent noticed any difference in performance either.

Oh Yea!!

It's almost like the intake snout was too small. Like I said, once the foam fender sleeve was in, the restriction indicator quit getting sucked down.
