Good evening

Purchase a Used slide in Bed Camper so I could take my son & Wife on outdoor camping trips .

I have a Ford F250 FX4 Auto Reg Cab Long Bed - 6.0L Diesel

Figured it best to add a sway rear bar + add air springs --- but after researching ---and so many variables to take into account figured I would start a new Title --- I did click on Search earlier this evening and manually typed in Air Springs and read thru many of the previous threads

The Manufacturers I have been able to identify to date are as follows:
-AirLift
-Firestone
-PacBrake
-Timbrens -- directly over rear axle -- no Air required
-Kelderman

I believe I have narrowed my selection down to:
-TorkLift
-Frame Mounted
-For the Camper Tie down system

Your recommendations / thoughts are most appreciated
-If you were going to do it today what Air Springs would you select ?

Thanks in advance

John,

I have the Airlift brand on the rear of my 03 F-250. They work very well. Only complaint would be that they stiffen up the unloaded ride just a tad. Not a big deal really.

I've also used the firestone bags on my IDI on the front end to support an 8' plow with good results from those as well. No trouble at all.

I know it's some serious coin, but the Kelderman kits are supposed to be top notch from what I've seen & heard.

I have had the Firestone Ride-Rite bags for over ten years without one problem so they get my vote.

Air Springs Recommendation ? So many to choose from

First and foremost ---as always many thanks for your return web forum submittals

I find all most valuable in my research and ultimate choice of purchase

Sharing of experiences / knowledge is what its all about -- for benefit of all

So with that in mind I wanted to close the loop on my original question
-After considerable research I decided to go with PacBrake.com
-For following reasons they had 18 strands of stainless steel wire versus 8 on the other vendor air springs --- plus for a little more dollars I was able to get the PacBrake kit
-Now don't get me wrong all other Air Springs are a good choice as well

Also wanted to advise all on this Thread of a new Truck Parts supply house I located that was the largest PacBrake distributor in US with NO tax and FREE shipping --- give truckpartseast.com a look see --- I have found it best after you determine via web what you desire to order then call them -- I spoke with Mike Seale and was most helpful --- They had the Air Springs kit for my Ford F250 FX4 Model Yr 2006 Diesel 6.0L in stock -- will ship out today and per Mike will be delivered to my home address no later than Thursday this week

Truck Parts East also carriers the PacBrake PRXB exhaust Brake kit --- this is on my wish list as well --- and when have the funding will be calling Truck Parts East to place order

Hope this helps all

Have a great day
