Can anyone think of a reason to keep the AIH, even though I live in a cold climate, if I don't ever leave the engine running at low idle in the winter (it's either at high idle or off). I was thinking about removing the AIH for marginally better air flow, but if that'll cause problems, I'll leave it in place. I looked around for the criteria for the AIH to work but didn't find the list (I didn't look that hard ) so could anyone refresh my memory? Also, how does one make the jumper wire to prevent the AIH fault code from showing up? I saw that Blackclouddiesel has fancy-schmancy code eliminator, but if I can solder, it doesn't look like it's all that hard to make one myself.
