AIC Issues

Hi all, I have installed my AIC from my 2001 F250 7.3 into my 2004 F350 6.0 and I am having some issues. Everything works fine as far as operation but the idle is eratic. I can set the idle for 1200 and it will fluctuate all the way down to below 1100 and as high as 1300. What causes this? When the engine idles without the box it stays around 640 with a fluctuation of no more than 5 rpm either way.

I also have experienced this erratic idle @1200 RPM also. The EBPV, due to cycling (IE: opening and closing) when cold could be the cause of this.

I am planning to disconnect my EBPV this coming Sunday to see if this cures the erratic cycling issue.

I will post my results.

I don't think the 6.0 has a EBPV. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I know i read there were some issues using a 7.3 aic in a 6.0
but its on that other place i am forbidden to visit

Update on EBPV Disconnect

The surging I have experience using my AIC, is now gone. RPMs stay at 1200.

The 6.0 also is equipped with the EBPV.

The AIC that came with my 04 has the directions for the 7.3. Same part number.
