as you might have thought from the title, i recently ran my truck through a pipe rail fence and put a dent in the hood which cracked my grille and headlight door on the drivers side. put about a 1 1/2 foot long scratch down the front quarter panel and also broke my mirror off.:cussing: it was all my fault too. being that i am a teenager i like mud puddles and the rearend of my truck is light. i hit a mud puddle on the side of the road and when i brought it back on the road, the rearend and the front end of my truck tried to trade places, but i was sideways and tried to bring it back, which didn't quite work. ended up pulling 2 posts out of the ground. oh well i have an excuse to repaint the truck now. what color would ya'll recommend? i was thinking either midnight blue metallic or an electric blue metallic. gotta get a new hood. going to a chrome grille instead of black, chrome headlight doors, and crystal headlights and parking lights.

black is also the hardest color to keep clean and shows everything includeing nasty body work!!unless you plan on painting all the jambs and the back of the cab and front of the bed dont waste your time changeing the color cuz it will always look nasty when you open the doors or see the white between the cab and bed.check out my pictures in my signature and you will see the work involved in changeing the color the correct way

I changed my truck color from white to blue and silver. I painted the door jambs and inside of doors. I didn't remove the bed to paint behind the cab, but you still can't tell the color has been changed. I would post some pics, but they are still on my card and not on my computer.

did ya'll go ahead and take out the interior too or not. that's what i was thinking about doing. just take out the interior, the bed, grill, headlights, and all that stuff and spray primer, paint, and clear. it's a lot of work, but i'm willing to put in the work if it will look good. i was just going to mask off the dash board panels though. just do the bottom, the sides, and the top of the inside part. and the doorjams, of course.

I removed the weather stripping and taped of the door opening. I didn't paint anything in cab. You couldn't tell the truck was painted from a quick walk around. I took the whole front end apart to get all the rust out and paint back in.
