Who has an aftermarket hood? Post pics if possible and tell if you were happy with fit and finish!

Just get a metal one.From what I understand there is only 2 manufactures & the rest are packagers.My hood fit as good as oe.

Thanks Scotty I prefer glass hoods the steel hoods I have had were real flimsy!

The hood that I have is steel & was actually impressed when I got it because it fit as good as stock & the bracing was very good & still had place for the stock weather stripping & holes to snap the factory hood light in.I would have to dig on the manufactures because I had mine for a year or so & don't remember. Before I had bought it I had researched it & had learned about the manufactures.Glass hoods I have had a bunch in my 30 years of drag racing from different manufactures & I pearsonally did'nt like any of them even when they were "street hoods" still were flimsy crap.Now things change all the time so maybe in the truck market they have some good ones? The last few trucks I worked on with glass hoods were well made but ugly scooped that did'nt match the truck.Same as buying your favorite truck,shop around look touch smell!
