Hey guys i was wondering if you could give me some advice. I have 2 friends one is selling an afe stage 1 intake that came of an 02 7.3 and the other one has an afe stage 2. They are both selling them and i was wondering which one is better. the stage 1 is sliglty used and i can pick it up for around 100 bucks. the stage 2 is new in box and he wants full retail for it. So i was wondering if i should spend the extra money and get the stage 2 or just cheap out and buy the stage 1

What is the price on the stage II. I have the stage II and love the hell out of it. But you will probably get some turbo surge with the stage like me and lot's of other you will want to install the wicked wheel with it or sometime after it .

He wants like 400 bucks for it. I was thinking of doing a wicked wheel and putting in a banks wastegate after. Its gonna be an expensive couple of weeks i ordered mbrp duals and issopro gauges for it as well and now i need the intake and i will be in pretty good shape.

if you have the big honking air filter right now (the napa 6630 or something like that) you are not going to see much of a gain going to the afe stage II. the napa filter has got good filtration and flows plenty of air. id even venture to say that if you go with the stage 1, youll see a decrease in performance. put your money elsewhere and stick with what youve got. just my 2 cents!:sweet
