I currently am havng probs with my a/c staying cool. When the outside temp is cool the a/c stays cool but when it warms up a little the a/c just blows warm air. There is a hesitation when I crank the truck as well. It will constantly go in and out throughout the day. Also I havent tried lately but I know that my 4wd was not locking in correctly.

Well, it probably needs to be evacuated (drawn into deep vacuum to remove moisture contamination) & recharged. Would not be a bad idea to replace the accumulator (big silver tank under the hood) and the orfice tube with a temperature sensitive one.
I base this on where the thread was posted (in the 7.3 forum).

If you do not have the proper tools, this cannot be done at home.

As far as the 4WD, can you be more specific?

you dont say what model year or if you have ESOF.

could be the heater valve not shutting off completely...or
it could be the vent control is not fully shuting the recirc.
door (which might hint at the hub issue)

you could be experiancing a hub seal leak.

if the system is 134a you can borrow the gauges and vac.
pump from autozone and re-charge the a/c system yourself.

before you go evac'ing the system, id suggest you look for
leaks via a sniffer and die.

Next time it stops cooling open the hood and see if the clutch is engaged.............if not you could be low on 134a or you have exsesive gap in the clutch due to wear.

If it is the latter there is a shim that can be removed(very easy to do) that will give you a few more years before you have to replace the unit.

I'm betting it is the hub seals. The rubber dries and cracks and allows the leakage.

actually, the truck has multiple problems
When the outside temp is cool the a/c stays cool but when it warms up a little the a/c just blows warm air
but the A/C is low.
