Question '99 E450 7.3L TD, runs rough

Have a '99 E450 ambulance with a 7.3. Has 60,000 miles on it, give or take. Ran fine til last weekend when it started running very rough at idle. "Service Engine Soon" light came on and has stayed on. Noticeable lack in power when accelerating. Once you get up to cruising speed, steering wheel vibrates so bad it feels like the front end of the truck is going to fall out from under you. When you let off the accelarator, however, the vibration instantly stops. Both started at exactly the same time.
What do y'all think? Bad injector maybe? Already checked air and fuel filters, both fine.

Sounds like bad injector(s). Get a scanner in the truck and check the codes. You are only guessing until you get those codes.

Bad injectors, Bad IDM, Bad UVC, Bad VC gasket.

all possible some relatively cheap repairs.

Here's the verdict: bad number 2 injector. Replaced the injector and now it runs like a champ!
