tubzz's thread on the pink IC tubes got me thinking - http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4697

it took me a while to formulate it...would there be any benifit to cutting the IC pipes on a 7.3L so that there were 4 pieces total? a la 6.0L style? it would make it easier to get to the valve covers, turbo, etc... trade off would be 2 more joints and 4 more clamps.

Why bother? It's not like loosening four clamps takes sooooo much time when working on the engine that making a four-piece IC pipe would be worth the effort. :dunno

PO mucking about?

in order to get at the lower IC pipe clamps on my truck, i have to pull both batteries. the clamps have really LONG bolts. i don't know if the previous owner did any mucking about down there.

if anyone can point me to a picture of what it >should< look like, i might be able to straighten it out.
