I think the shop that did my engine swap screwed me. I was suposed to get my old engine back complete, less the turbo and y pipe which they had to use on my engine, (the new engine came out of a 02 van with no intercooler). To make a long story short, all I got was 2 heads a HPOP, water pump, injectors and a bunch of nut's and bolts. When I questioned the wherabouts of my block, he said he took it to his junk yard so rather than make a scene, I dropped it.

The more I think of it I feel he has kept my engine and all I got was some junk laying around as he has access to alot of 7.3 stuff. If I could prove that the heads I got are not off of a 2000 modle truck I would take this stuff back and insist on getting my engine back.

The "casting numbers" are 1825113C1. This number matches on both heads. There is also another set of numbers on each head one is 0511F and the other has 0406F. There is a stamped number on one head that is U264U501.

I have spoken with 2 Ford dealerships, 1 performance diesel shop and 1 engine rebuilding shop to get an answer to this question. You guy's have helped me so much with my truck, I thought I would give you a try.

My question is. Can anyone tell me how to determin if these heads came off of a 2000 engine.

Thank you

Jeff

Try and call Diesel Innovations in Houston. If you have a question about a 7.3 they should be able to answer it or direct you to someone who can.
