I knew something would go wrong with my truck today and I was right. My batteries died after 42 months on a 72 month warranty. So I got new ones (same as the old ones) and got a sizable discount because of it. The new batteries are great (Interstate Megatron 875 cc), but now I realize I need a new starter as well. -mad The starter is original and has 237K on it. Best I could find is a remanufactured one with a 12/12 warranty...from Ford. -mad

Anyone else have bad fate today? Misery loves company...:D

Them instersates you speak of did nothing but preage my truck with rust from battery acid. The truck always started right up but I had them off the truck in 12-15 months:sorry I'm all good so far today.

We'll I hand an inkling that the Nova would be gone or torn apart for a second and better restoration. I kept eye balling the optima in its trunk, seeing I only drove it once a month. So one day I did it, bought another $129 Optima red top, stole the 6 month old nova battery, and stuck the least leaky of the two Interstates in the nova. That was the start of me losing all interest in my hot rod, stealing parts off her. If I was needing batteries because they died and had to have them, I most likely would not have spent $260-300 for batteries for my truck, but my circumstances were different.;)

MW, Great link to the ebay starter. :sweet

On another note 666 is not over for me. While at the local dog park this evening, a black lab lifted his leg and golden showered my left leg. He musta thought I was a tree stump. :D
