48.5 MPG Mustang

Check this out where a 2011 V6 Mustang got 48.5 mpg recently: Ford eases V6 Mustang around Bristol track for 1,457 laps
Of course, the "average" driver probably wouldn't do this, but it was an interesting test.

I could see it. But who's going to drives at a average speed of 43.9 mph for almost 18 hours.

our 07 edge got better than 25 at 77 mph, and at 80 in florida we gained 27 mpg
the new 150 has seen a jump in mpg at speeds over 75
in fact the run from amarillo to albq. netted 17.3 with cruise at 77 ish
that was a gain of .3 over running 70-72
so lets all drive quicker

Depending on load I average 41-46 mph close to 70 hours a week. It ain't in a Mustang but a Peterbilt is close enough. My mileage is closer to 3.5mpg than 48.5.
