I had the inner lid off from the inside. There's a few small Torx screws holding it together. I think the inner tray comes out the same way, but you would have to remove the liner to do it.
removing the lid is the easy part...all those screws are exposed.
what i want/need to remove is the semi-hard (color matching)
plastic above/around the front of the cup holders
Looks like you have to pull the felt off the bottom on the inside and that whole inner "bucket" unbolts. I just ran out and looked at mine. Seems like its bolted in or clipped in, but whatever holds it is under the fabric on the bottom.
