How difficult is a brake pad installation on the subject truck? :dunno I have done many pad installations but not on anything as big as my f-350. I have also heard that the caliper bolts also need to be changed??? I am doing the shocks now and the front pads are down to about 1/4". Just looking at the system, it seems like a straight forward install. Any comments??

Jay, I think they are just about like any other disk brakes, just larger.
I had the brakes on my 06 checked last week and it's got 71.000 on
it and he said I had 3/4 left on the front and more than that on the back.
Good Luck.

F-350 Brake Pads

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same thing about disk brakes. It is not rocket science and everything just looked bigger. If I wasn't changing the shocks, I would have Ford do it, but since I am under there might as well do it myself. This truck is "new" to me but has 85K on it and talking to the previous owner most of the miles were hauling livestock trailers.:)

Easy, just like any other pads just ALOT bigger haha. Just get some big clamps so you can get the pistons back in so you can fit the monster pads on. Thats the worst thing. I've never heard of havin to replace the caliper bolts whenever the caliper is off. Just hunker down on them is all I do. Good luck!:sweet
