the back space on the 2006 20's in 6 1/8"..I have the 16" chrome steel 9 hole wheels..does anyone know the back space on these wheels..I have found that if I wanna go to the 08' and newer wheels I would need adapters..is this true for 2006 wheels too..I have been searching different forums and I am not coming up with the right information...my truck is a 2wd..since I dont have leafs..would they fit alil better than they would on a 4x4....thanks for any information...Im trying to figure this out..if I buy the rims for $500 and have to buy a $600 set of good quality adapters..I jus dont see the use in getting them...cause I still have to buy tires...I really like the look of the 5 spoke polished factory wheels...but for that price I would go aftermarket..

All 2005 through 2009 Super Duty trucks use the same backspace on all the wheels available and it is deeper than the backspace on all 1999 through 2004 Super Duty wheels. Two wheel drive and four wheel drive is the same within the two groups of years. Using the newer wheels on your 2003 MIGHT be possible but you should know without using adapters they will be tucked farther inboard under the fenders which increases the chances of them rubbing when the steering wheel is turned and possibly when the suspension compresses. The only way to know for sure is to test it out and see how they do.

Just put a set of 08 20" on my 06 SuperDuty, They fit great and look a lot better.
Mine is the FX4 package so can help with the 2WD.
Good Luck
