You mentioned in a previous post that yout tranny got very hot. Is your ATF burnt? Synthetic ATF has very good cold weather properties...but is rather pricey.

You could drive to Florida now instead of later this year. I'm sure your tranny could use a tropical vacation. :roflmao

Whining is prohibited south of the Mason-Dixon line. :D

Are you sure it's not one of fords fantastic powersteering pumps? They like to whine alot also in the cold weather.

I have the famous ford powersteering whine in my truck but only when it's cold it could quite easily be mistaken for a transmission whine.

its definately the tranny.powersteering has never whined in this truck.the hottest i believe the tranny ever got was around 270 but that was at the track one night.its got synthetic fluid in it already.and since i will be heading to florida maybe ill see if i can take a spin by bob riley's place if it aint to far from where ill be.

you know an easy cure to the powersteering pump whine is
run the resivior a bit overfull. it seems for some reason the pumps like to suck air and this causs the whine...
