08 truck beds

Well the time has come and after my tire accident. BFG finally agreed to pay to have my truck fixed. About 2k for them to just replace the side of the bed that is screwed up. So I was thinking, why not just buy anew bed for the truck. I went to a shop that removes and puts on flat beds or western haulers. They didn't really have a price for my but said around 600.00 for a bed that had been removed.

So I began to wonder if an 08 bed would fit in it's place. Just wondering what ya'll thought. If not i'll just take it to my buddy and have him fix it and then the left over cash i'll buy new wheels and tires. Thanks for the help

I see no reason why the '08 bed will not fit Justin.

its the same bed basically. does it still have the tailgate with it too?

if so, that would be a steal IMO.

I think that would be very cool. I don't see why it wouldn't fit either. The bolts in the bed of my 08 appear to be in exactly the same positions as those in my 06. And, I don't believe the frame rails really changed that much on these new ones either.

Yes Stephen it is the whole truck bed. Found it today for $800.00 ish. May be a little bit more but not much more. No it is time to find somebody to paint it to match the truck. Wonder what that will cost. Anybody in the Houston area know of any good paint and body shops. Can't wait to get my check in from BFG.
