Hi, new member here. I joined here the other day looking for info about the 05 and up rims vs the old rims... All that I could find said that the 17's wouldn't fit, which I knew because we had allready tried that on a buddys sd. I couldn't find anything on the 20's so I went ahead and bought a set of new takeoffs. Being 20's they clear the steering arm where the 17's and 18's won't. The offset difference isn't enough to notice and they look great. They do rub the leaf spring at full lock but a washer or two tacked to the steering stop will take care of that. It's weird but with the change in width the turning radius seems to be better then before. I noticed that happening in the other direction with my jeep. With the Jeep, I went from standard backspace rims and then stuck them way out there with a 2" backspace rim and my turning radius suffered big time. At any rate, here are a couple of pics... I did use my old center caps as the newer center caps are not deep enough to clear the rear hub...

On a side note, I would like to level out the front. Are there recomendations as to what to use to bring it up with the rear?

They look great! Glad to hear they work ok on the older chassis. I have a set on the way for my 06' because I just love the way that wheel looks. :sweet

JMO rio, its somehow hard for me to see the 20's as a good look for anything other than the 05's and up. i do think about a 4inch lift would make it really look great all the way around.

don't get me wrong, im not knocking it, you got more balls than me to buy them 20's not knowing if they would work or not. cause if not, then you stuck with them or take a loss maybe if you resale them.

i do think a small lift would be an even better look.

I do like the way they look. For stock rims they are sharp...
Thanks for the welcome. Now I need to look around and see what's available to lift the front end.
