I have a 02 F-250 with 7.3L, it has 4" turbo back straight pipe exhaust, Superchips 1795 Max Micro tuner. Getting ready for AFE or Tymar air intake.

Question is: have we come up a with a reliable set up that will tow a trailer with 4-8000# loads and get descent fuel mileage when not towing?

I know we could have gotten a DP tuner, but i got a real deal in the Superchips tuner.

We were trying to get some mild performance without sacrificing reliability. Thanks for any comments..

what you have there is a great start. Because your in TN you may want to get a WW or ATS housing. The WW is easier on the wallet. The ATS is the correct way to go. Going up the mountains i am betting surge will be an issue. In all reality these trucks are a work in progress. This is a good site to ask around for tips and tricks. I am sure others will chime in here and tell you some more ideas. I would also suggest DP. Yes they cost money but DP pays off in the long run. But more importantly have fun with your truck.
