Hey all
my batteries "passed" a load test at a parts store recently. Bbut at 5+ years, I just gotta wonder.

Ford dealer offered me the last of some 800+ CCA batteries (sorrry, forget the handle) for about $110 or less each. Moto OEM 750 or 850 CCA about $10 less (ea).

Do I replace before the snow flies or see how long the batteries will last? (I've maintained them with a charger over the years, but they don't sit idle for long, either...).

Advice? Thanks in advance.

We replaced our Ford Motorcraft batteries at 5 years old last December on our '02 due to low voltage. I went with the Costco batteries for $60 each and they come with a 60 month warranty including the first 36 months 100% coverage.

Our old batteries took a load test fine with the engine running but after they sat for a night it was very slow cranking up.

No matter where you go or choose I'd definitely get a new set in before the cold sets in.;)

Roger that!

That's what I'm trying to talk myself into! I was surprised by the positive load test...you just pushed me over the edge.
