01 f350 SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM MODIFICATION RECALL

I was checking to see if there were any recalls on my truck. One was listed...speed control system modification. What exaclty is that? My speed is off anyways with my bigger tires.

Nevermind...I remember what the issue with this was. My 96 almost burned down because of the pig tail that goes into the master cylinder (or in that area) that disengages the cruise control. They recalled the 99+ models but not the OBS.

The paperwork for the recall takes longer than putting on the new pigtail. In and out.

Yea I know. Thats why I'm not worrying about taking it to the dealer.

On my 96 I kept smelling burnt wiring and then I saw it sizzling and glowing....so it was pretty close to an expensive fire
