Help Needed Need a Ford mechanic

Hi, I need to know if anyone has any experience with Ford dealerships in northern NJ. Who has the best diesel mechanic?

    block heater info:

The block heater in my 2007 F350 draws 6.2 amps. I've checked it a few different times and it's always 6.2. This is with a true RMS fluke digital ammeter. Hope this is what you're looking for. Jeff

    "FORD'S PROFIT SURPRISE"

"Ford's quality is now as good as Toyota" I can't believe that they actually used that in a comercial. So does that mean that all 2007 and earlier Ford products are junk? What a stupid thing for them to say!

    Work Toppers

Do you get any water in the bed with that setup? How about the side boxes?

    Work Toppers

I have the ARE work cap you see in my picture. I wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't seal at the back window and tailgate. Just looking at it you can see the gaps. My old cap had a recessed frame for the tailgate window and it sealed nicely, this one doesn't. I've talked to a few guys with the...

Thanks Crumm. Now does anyone know how to wire the BCP option?

    high idle

Thanks Bolt. Do you know where I could get the wiring diagrams to do these two modifications? And with the PTO high idle setup, does the rheostat allow you to go faster than 1200 RPM or slower? I guess I'm looking for something to ramp up the idle when it's cold out and I need to idle for a...

    high idle

I have a 2007 F350 4x4 with an auto trans. How do I set up one of my upfitter switches to raise the idle of the truck. I've looked at previous posts and I see guys mentioning a pto high idle and a battery charge high idle. What's the difference?

    help w/ a switch

Bush Pilot, just so you know, your 543 21 designation is actually backwards when you look at the pin designations that 06silvercrew posted. So it would be 123 45 the way you have it drawn. Jeff

    help w/ a switch

This is actually called the "Brake Pedal Position Switch". Using your 543 21 designations, here's the wiring. Please note that the wire colors I'm using are for a 2007 F350 so I'm not sure if they match exact to your 2004 but the switch operation will be correct. #5 is your ground wire...

    Rubber floor and floormats?

Hey Scott, I've got the same problem as you with stock Ford floormats. Even tried cutting off all of the tits and using velcro with the same results. I'll be watching this one to see if anyone has the cure. Jeff

    Hello from Jersey

Hey Ken, it's my first diesel and first time to the site. I've owned nothing but Ford pickups all my life but this is the first one I bought new. So what kind of work do you do with the bucket truck? I'm a union electrician, IBEW local 102 out of Paterson, and do a lot of work from a Hi-Reach...
