    If you use your bed, get a 4" turbo back. Cutouts will probably add quite a bit of drone. I regretted putting a 5" system on my 7.3. Seemed to lose a little on the bottom end.

    Drove it yesterday with and without the trailer. Seemed better. I think the loose transfer case tore up my fairly new carrier bearing.

    Flex plate was cracked all the way around the crank bolts. It was only hanging on by about 3/4" of material. I also found that my transfer case was hanging on by only one bolt and it was loose! I haven't touched the t-case bolts since I installed the transmission 7 years ago. I'll test drive...

    I took my own advice and checked the TC mounting bolts. Found a cracked flexplate. I can see three small cracks from where the flexplate mounts to the crank.
