    bio question

Could be under-reacted oil or glycerine. A proper complete washing should get rid of both. I think you can try the 27/3 test to check for under-reacted oil if you want to do that as well.

    bio question

Did you wash (if you did -- how did you do it) and filter your fuel before filling up? I''ve seen that once when I didn't wash (enough).

    comment Battery Terminal wrench choice?

I found a ratcheting wrench like you've got pictured, but it's got two sizes...5/16 and another (can't remember..) Works good....on our suburban.

    Should I trust Superduty Diesel?

Welcome....... You list of mods sounds like you've got a pretty good handle on things. I think most folks here will give you the straight-up what happened to them answers to your questions. There are a few guys on here that work at Ford dealers and some are independent mechanics, too. Most...

    CPS questions

Can't seem to find what I'm looking for in search, but I'm sure it's been asked before.... What are the classic CPS symptoms? Yesterday while going to town, my truck *hiccuped*. Engine died for a half-second and everything started back up just fine. Going down the highway, just felt a...

    bio filtering.

Since it's not a self-priming pump, I had mine plumbed below the level in the barrel, so once I got it primed once, I never had to again. Anything with that capacity or greater will be fine for batches up to about 50 gallons..

    bio filtering.

I used the harbor freight clear-water pump for my processor. Worked well. I don't think I ever had to replace it in all the batches I made. Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices What I used to "spray" the fuel that worked really well for me was this...

More agitation wouldn't hurt anything... Yes, 3.5 g lye is the number for VIRGIN oil. If you're using used, you should be running a titration on it to get your number. I used Tilly's Chopstick method...here's a link: The World Famous Chopstick Titration Technique (Pat Pend) - Topic Powered...

    bio filtering.

Did you use new oil or used? How did you mix it? Did you mix the lye and methanol first? Did you heat the oil before mixing?

    Plug location

I've got mine mounted on the driver's side, just in front of the fender well. Easy to get to, you can hook it up without climbing in the truck, and it's out of the way..

    bio filtering.

I'm gravity feeding my veggie oil through that, not fast by any means, but works pretty nice. I just setup my pump to fill the sock -- more than a trickle. but not a full stream, either -- and let it go. Takes about 1 hour to get 55 gallons through. I've run probably 300 gallons so far, seems...

    bio filtering.

1 micron... Yes, you do need to wash your fuel. I tried filtering some un-washed fuel ONCE, it clogged my filter within 1 gallon. The reason your fuel looked cloudy after the wash cycle was suspended water. Once you complete washing (when the water comes out like it went in -- perfectly...

    Help Needed help engine died

Here's one for a newer truck, but you're should be in the same spot. Where this picture has alternator, your compressor is....so keep that in mind. I guess I really should go take a good picture for you... http://forgotton.net/mods/pic01.jpg

    Help Needed help engine died

Those codes are related to the ICP, you don't happen to have the 10K mod, do you?? If you did, I'd try removing that and see if it's any better....or you may try replacing the ICP sensor.

Gravity-feed of diesel fuel: Is it legal?

My vote is it is legal...(cause that's how mines' installed). I do have a shutoff at the tank.

    Engine Brake

You've got a few options (really just one, now that I type this out) You can setup something (some chips have this, I'm sure) that will lockup the TC when you're decelerating. You can use the EBPV (warm-up valve) to act as an exhaust brake. This won't really do you any good unless you do...

    Question Flitz

Anyone got any reports on how the Flitz polishing system works? My bed/tailgate rails are really dull, and I'd like to restore them to have a bit more shine. Any ideas?

aux tank feed install how to?

Hadn't had to look too hard. I know the former manager of two of my restaurants, and the other one I ate at every day for months trying to get their oil. I literally had everything on the menu. My wife's family owned a restaurant for a while and got some good oil there, too.

aux tank feed install how to?

I installed mine last night, didn't use it, but not sure if it's gonna work yet or not. If I don't end up using it, I'll let you know. It doesn't have the check valve in it if that matters to you....

aux tank feed install how to?

I've been doing a lot of research on this topic lately.
