    Switching to 4wheel drive

    Hey C;int. I say better safe than sorry with mine and if possible I try to only put it into 4WD when stopped. I just think slamming the front gear into action may cause excessive wear over a period of time so its better to ease into 4WD. Thats my opinion.

    Check out the new padlocks.

    Man, that would be great for locking the hitch pin in the receiver. That way you always have the lock key with the truck.

    If some suspension components were changed by the original owner such as but not limited to end links, you may have more. Crawl under and look for the ones DaveBen told you about and look for any other zerks.

    Even though I do own a diesel Superduty, I dont think I'll replace my FUEL filters every 3 - 5K miles.

    The point Im trying to make is why Motorcraft Only statement. Racor makes the filters for Ford and International. Racor is not an aftermarket filter but they are the OEM manufacturer of the very ones you need. Some folks have a blind eye to anything that is not bought from the dealer or sold...

    What coolant to use

    You may not find it at all parts stores but you should at the dealer, you"ll just pay more for Motorcraft Gold. Zerex makes it as G-05. These are the only 2 that I have found available that meets the requirements for the PSD. The gold has an additive to help prevent pitting in the diesel engines.

    Battery corrosion

    I have noticed my positive cables on both my Bosch 1000 amp batteries are getting coated in a whitish green corrosion. I have sprayed both with acid corrosion spray and the yellow spray should turn pink is acid were present but it didn't. What is this corrosion and what causes it?:dunno

    Fumoto Valve

    I installed the FUMOTO this past weekend. Just like BIG JOE said above about the depression in the oil pan. I installed the one with the nipple. Will for sure help on the next oil change.;tu

    Price of fuel is on the rise...again

    I had the same problem once but was driving 122 miles round trip to work. Wanted to drive a diesel so i bought a used VW new beetle that got 48 mpg. Drove it 229K and the wife traded it on a 2009 Vw Jetta TDI that gets 50 for me.

    04 Powerstroke Straight Pipe?

    I have an 04 6.0 with no CAT or Muffler. You cant beat the sound and it is not obnoxious. The Airaid filter add I believe more breathing ability to the engine thus I seem to get more airflow through the system. The turbo whine sounds great.:cool:

    IMHO I would try to stay as stock as possible. I think DaveBen will second the notion. I don't think that's what you want to do so others that add aftermarket will have to tell you about their journeys down that road. Don't blow it up seeking power and BTW :SDD
