    Why does the 6.0L get poor mileage when compared to other engines? I love my Ford, but I have friends that have Dodges and Chevys and they both get better mileage, especially when in town. :rant

    Magnetic disconnect

    Tailgate lights. Not a magnetic light, but I'm going to have the tailgate cut so that I can flush mount lights inside the tailgate. The magnetic disconnect is to keep me from ripping the wires out on accident if I remove the tailgate... Hope this come out. (tailgate)...

    Magnetic disconnect

    Anyone know where I can find them. I'm having my tailgate modified and one (maybe two) fog lights flush mounted for use as reverse lights. However when I remove the tailgate, should I forget to disconnect the lights, I don't want to rip stuff up.

    Turbo Saver. There is another unit that is cheaper. About $200.00 that keeps the engine running until the exhaust temperature drops below the safe level. I have a built in turbo timer with my alarm, but I have to remember to use it when I get out and it is linked to time, not temperature.

    Alarm recommendations. I have an Crimestopper 2016DP with remote startup. When I get out, if I've been playing around, I can use the remote start, while the vehicle is still running then get out, arm the alarm and truck will keep running for 8 minutes. If you don't want to go that route...

    Dynosaur There was rumor of the US Airforce experimenting with an aircraft that was had a target speed of Mach 25. It was called the Dynosaur (sp). Read about it years ago. Its another Skunk Works project.

    I want to wire in additional reverse lights. I'm going to take the power from trailer wiring. That's the easy part. My question is, how would I wire in an override switch in the cab so I could turn them on, say if I was parked and just working on the trailer behind the truck?

    Oil Change I change oil every 3000 miles, but my local dealer told me that was overkill. I'm going to start changing probably every 5000 miles. I do little or no towing and off roading once or twice a month.

    Very Poor Mileage No I didn't, but that shouldn't make that much of a difference. I'm getting barely 10 mpg city. But with my short highway on trips I got about 20 mpg (flat ground, no load). So if my mileage was off because of my speedo, that would make my highway mileage exceptionally high.
