    Hitch question

I have a quick question for the experts here. My truck has ranchhand bumpers front and back and a 4" lift. The RH rear is a 10" drop bumper with a 1k tongue and 10k trailer rating. The problem is that with the lift, there is little chance of actually getting a trailer on the ball. The...

Right rear brake and turn signal went out...

What they said plus this: the bed side of the lamp has two clips, so you will have to pull/wiggle the housing free. They are the slide in/pressure type clips, no tabs or anything like that.

How did you find that? I searched and even talked to a counter jockey at MK ford.

    Mirror adapters

I have purchased a set of mirrors for my truck, they are off of a 2002. The 2002 have the new style rectangular connector for the power adjustment and my truck has the older round type plug. I was wondering of some of you 2002+ guys that stepped up to upgraded new mirrors have the adapters...

    7.3 fuel mileage question

Ok, I'll take 13.36, but I am still curious how some are pulling in 16 or so with some of the same mods that I have on duallys no less. Could a loose converter in the 4r100 cause poor economy? I am not as familiar with the feel of an auto as I am a manual, so I don't know if my converter is...

Fuel filter was changed within a few weeks of purchasing the truck. I'd love a GPS :D :D but for now, I'd just like to see more than 12MPG :o

    7.3 fuel mileage question

From what I can determine, the 35's are 10% taller than the stockers. In that case wouldn't my results only be off by 10%?

That's along the lines that I was expecting to see. Fuel mods are next, but I was hoping to save for those at the pump.

    7.3 fuel mileage question

During the rally I spoke with a few people about fuel consumption. From the info I gleaned, I have determined that I am burning a ton more diesel than others. When I got it, I was getting right at 12MPG. I have completed the mods below as well as an Edge Evo programmer which i run in the...

Anyone Got Instructions To Remove/Replace Steering Wheel

Where could I get a wheel like that? Would it fit my 2000? I have a Lariat with some wood accents, and that would top it off nicely.

My engine dies from time to time!

Welcome to the SDD forums Janusz! It appears that you may be dealing with two issues: one could be a dying cam position sensor (it's one thing that you need to have with you anyway) and two, the fuel leak. I know that these fellows will be able to help. Ja jestem tutaj w Dallas od 1983...

    Mileage

If I could dump $50k into my 92 Coupe, few $50k cars could keep up. The 2007 Shelby Cobra GT 500 (if that's what they decided to call it ) is a sweet ride and I believe that it did make it into production with HP numbers promised. Also, th efirst production model of the 2007 Shelby Cobra GT...

7.3 Stroker shut off on the way home tonight????

He will have his own spare now that he knows the value of having one. He has no internet connection at home, and he does not have access to one at work, so he hasn't signed up because he'd get no use out of it. Feel free to make fun of him the next time you see him.

how to prep a gauge pod fpr paint?

Yes, thank you all for the tips. I have the tall blue Ford paint in dark parchment. I think I will skip the primer based on the chance of bubbling. I will clean it and spray it and it will see how it goes. Since it's just the steering column top piece, I should have plenty paint to redo if...

how to prep a gauge pod fpr paint?

What are the steps for paiting the gause pod? Do you scuff up the plastic before painting? Do you use a primer? Does the paint have a "flex" additive? Any help and direction will be appreciated.
