Eh, I didn't do the majority of the work, so it was no biggie for me, but I do recommend setting aside a solid day to do it as a first timer. Brad and crew can knock the next one out in less than 6 hours, I'd say.
Wes, that would be a drive for me. If I am ever out that way, I'll stop in and hopefully remember the warning and not get covered in fuel. I'm not sure when the next one will be, but I have found that it always itches, lol, and there is always something on the horizon.
X2, I was supposed to put my WW on last weekend, but didn't get around to it. I've been driving with surge for almost a year, no biggie. It was there before, you just couldn't hear it.
Well, the ones that drove through our "shop" in the alley were all big eyed and looked worried. No one complained to me :dunno so I guess it's all good :thumbs
Thanks for your support over the phone, Antonio. The article along with Dennis's instructions would have done us well.
Bryan, no big deal we got it done with your help over the phone. Everyone understands that family always comes first. Justin and I started at 8:00 and Brad left at about...
Thanks to all that showed up. It was a huge turnout and a great time as always. Bill, thanks for the lunch and supervision. Brad, we need a full write up on the fuel system mod. We will definitely need to get together again. I still have the WW to do :)
Awesome, but I can't afford Starbuck's for everyone so that no one feels left out, I'm providing water. Everything else is BYO. Now if someone were to bring some for me as well, I will not turn it down :D
As far as tools needed, I don't have a 9/32" 4-point socket, I may not have the T-27 Torx, I have a 3/8" breaker bar. This would be for the fuel system install.
You are correct. That is far worse than I pictured it to be, and I whoopin' is definitely in order for the culprit. I will now meekly go back to my perfect world where an 18" pipe wrench solves most problems.
