    Parental words of wisdom

When I was a late teenager I stood up to my old man. He looked me in the eye and said "Boy... you may be bigger than me, but I'll still kick your azz" I knew he was right and now that I'm a grown man and he is now near 80 years old. I still think he could. When ever I think about losing my dad...

    Emergency tool kit

JMHO but I disagree on keeping "cheep" tools for "emergency use". During an on road repair I want a set of tools I can count on. Not ones that may round off the corners of bolts, or snap when I'm 100 miles from a store. I use Craftsman tools. Never had a problem with them. I keep most of my...

    Stroker sighting!!!

We call that a hit and run in our neighborhood :cop It's sad to see an old truck when the new owner doesn't give it as much care as the PO did. I see my old IDI all the time, and it would now be considered a "work truck" :rant

Question Part # for oil gallery plug needed

Crumm's number are correct. Both IH (1827535-C94) and Fords (4C3Z-6026-CA). The o-ring is a light blue if that means anything. $6.48+tax for o-ring and plug. Thanks for the numbers. Mike, you should add the Ford # to the OB list.

Question Part # for oil gallery plug needed

I need either the IH or Ford part number for the big oil gallery plugs that are in the ends of the heads. I think the o-ring has failed on my 97. This is the plug that's about 1 1/2" in diameter, with the 1/2" square pocket for a braker bar. Thanks

USA residents: should we switch? (survey, just for fun)

Only thing I hate about the metric system is how tolerances on blueprints are formulated. Being a machinist, I'm seeing more metric sizes on jobs, you need a book to figure out tolerances.

    veggie oil mixed with diesel?

Yep I figure the hot fuel being returned to the front tank has less time to cool off before going to the tank. The more miles, the higher the temp of the fuel in that tank raises. That's my theory anyhow.
